Peng Wang is an associate professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). His primary research focuses on power system dynamic equivalence modeling and optimal control. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Fuzhou University, and the Ph.D. degree from UESTC. Dr. Wang is the principal investigator for multiple national research projects, including the NSFC project and the MOST project, and has authored more than 40 research articles. He was selected for the "Macau Young Scholars Program" in 2021. He has served as a guest editor and reviewer for several esteemed journals.
Invited Speaker: Prof. Huaiguang Jiang, South China University of Technology, China
Huaiguang Jiang, Ph.D., is a Tenured Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Future Technology, South China University of Technology (SCUT). An IEEE Senior Member and recognized overseas high-level talent, Dr. Jiang’s research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and large-scale interconnected systems, including low-carbon smart energy, digital twins, and the intelligent design of complex biological systems.
Prior to joining SCUT in 2021, he served as a researcher at the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) from 2015 to 2021. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Denver. Dr. Jiang has published over 70 papers in prestigious journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions, Applied Energy, and CVPR, and has authored two academic monographs. His work is dedicated to supporting national "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" goals through innovative AI applications in energy grid forecasting, synthetic biology, and resilient urban management. He also serves as a committee member of the Guangzhou Youth Federation and contributes as a reviewer for over 20 top-tier international journals.
Invited Speaker: Assoc. Prof. Qin Yan, Changsha University of Science and Technology, China
Qin Yan was born in 1988 in China. She received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and automation from Wuhan University, China, in 2010 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, USA, in 2018. After graduation, she worked for General Electric Company in USA for two years. She is currently an Associate Professor with Changsha University of Science and Technology, China. Her research interests include V2G Interaction, Smart Grid, and Microgrid Operation and Optimization. She has published more than 40 papers in international academic journals and conferences, including 15 SCI/EI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author, and one ESI highly cited paper. She served as a reviewer or editorial board member for internationally renowned journals such as IEEE Transactions and Elsevier Journals, etc.
Invited Speaker: Assoc. Prof. Bing Sun, Tianjin University, China
Bing Sun is an Associate Professor at Tianjin University. His research interests focus on new energy power generation, and the operation and planning of distribution networks. He has undertaken over 30 science and technology projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published more than 30 academic papers and received one Provincial and Ministerial Second Prize.
Invited Speaker: Prof. Shaohua Yang, Beijing Institute of Technology, China
Shaohua Yang is a professor at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Zhuhai, China. His research interests focus on the cyber-physical power systems, demand response and resilient control, with a special focus on security. He earned his Ph.D. degree in the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, University of Macau (Ranked No. 145 in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings). Dr. Yang is the principal investigator for multiple national research projects, including the NSFC project and the MOST project, and has authored more than 30 research articles. One of his first-author articles was selected as the ESI Hot Paper (Top 0.1%), and three of his first-author articles was selected as Highly Cited Papers (Top 1%). He has served as a guest editor and reviewer for several esteemed journals.
Invited Speaker: Dr. Jin Tan, Shanghai University of Electric Power, China
Jin Tan is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Shanghai University of Electric Power. She received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2022. Her primary research focuses on the optimal planning and operation of integrated energy systems, energy storage system capacity configuration, and uncertainty modeling for renewable energy generation. In recent years, she has authored over 20 academic papers published in international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, Applied Energy, and Energy. Dr. Tan is currently leading several research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and the State Grid Corporation of China.
Invited Speaker: Dr. Qing Ma, Jiangsu University, China
Ma Qing received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Wuhan University. He worked in State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power Company for four years. He is currently a Lecturer with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang. His research mainly focuses on artificial intelligence-driven fast voltage control for power system. In the past three years, he has published 5 first-author papers in prestigious domestic and international journals, like IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and Proceedings of the CSEE.
Invited Speaker: Dr. Mengmeng Cai, Southeast University, China
Dr. Mengmeng Cai (Member, IEEE) is a Research Professor and Zijin Talent at the School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University, China. Her research interests lie in optimization, machine learning, and uncertainty quantification, with applications to power systems and electricity markets. She received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Hunan University, Tianjin University, and Virginia Tech in 2012, 2015, and 2020. Dr. Cai serves as the principal investigator and key participant for one National Natural Science Foundation project and one National Key R&D Program project, and has authored more than 20 research articles. Prior to joining Southeast University, she worked as a Research Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, CO, USA, contributing to over ten DOE-funded projects.

Xiangyu Zhang is a professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University (SEU). His research interests focus on the optimal operation of power distribution systems and intelligent control of aggregated flexible resources. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Wuhan University, Tsinghua University, and Virginia Tech, respectively. Dr. Zhang is the principal investigator for multiple national research projects, including an NSFC general project, and has authored more than 40 research articles and one book chapter. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has served as a guest editor and reviewer for several esteemed journals. Prior to joining SEU, he worked as a research scientist at the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) for five years, focusing on learning-assisted optimization applications in energy systems.
