Session 3: Intelligent Microgrid

Session 3

Intelligent Microgrid “智能微电网”

The intelligent microgrid, as a small-scale power generation and distribution system, is composed of distributed power sources, energy storage devices, energy conversion devices, associated loads, monitoring, and protection equipment. It is capable of self-control, protection, and autonomous management, allowing it to operate both in parallel with the external grid and in isolation. The intelligent microgrid's characteristics of efficiency, flexibility, and reliability play a crucial role in enhancing the proportion of self-generation and self-consumption of new energy, alleviating grid regulation and accommodation pressures, and leading the development of new business models and paradigms for future energy systems. Domains such as building infrastructure, smart parks, ocean-going vessels, green transportation, and agricultural irrigation can deeply integrate with intelligent microgrids, coordinating diverse flexible resources to participate in the electricity market and grid operations, jointly advancing the construction of new power systems. This session invites submissions encompassing, but not limited to, topics such as intelligent microgrid planning, operation, control, and evaluation.
