Session 10

Advanced Demand Response and Energy Storage: Synergies for a Resilient and Efficient Energy Future
“先进需求响应和储能技术:协同构建韧性高效未来能源系统”

The integration of demand response (DR) and energy storage systems (ESS) is revolutionizing the way of future energy resource management, enabling greater flexibility, resilience, and efficiency in power systems. As renewable energy penetration grows and grid complexity increases, the synergy between demand response and energy storage offers a powerful solution to balance supply and demand, and enhance system resilience against extreme climate conditions.
This session aims to explore the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in leveraging demand response and energy storage systems across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, residential, transportation applications, and so on. We invite submissions on topics include but not limited to:

  • Advanced modeling and optimization methods for demand response.
  • Data-driven methods (e.g. deep learning and reinforcement learning) for demand response management.
  • Energy storage planning and operation with accurate state estimation.
  • Flexibility aggregation of distributed demand response and energy storage resources.
  • Coordinated demand response and energy storage supporting climate resilient energy sectors.
  • The value of demand response and energy storage in enabling multi-timescale supply-demand balance.
  • Energy trading mechanisms and strategies for demand response and energy storage resources.

Join us to share your research and insights, contributing to the development of smarter, more sustainable energy systems.
